How To Stop Strangers From Touching Your Baby Without Drama

by Carolyn 38 Comments

Walking into the grocery store, I am super excited that my youngest is still asleep in her car seat. I am looking at possibly grocery shopping at a leisurely pace. My older 2 are in preschool. I have performed the miracle of getting her from the car into the store without waking her up. And within 2 minutes an older lady comes up to me and grabbed her foot while she is sleeping and says “What a cutie!”. Eeek!!

I am super non-confrontational but this almost had me screaming. Seriously…I am about to be able to grocery shop in peace and she is waking up my baby!

7 Fun Alternatives To The Traditional Baby Memory Book

by Carolyn 25 Comments

Do you have the baby book your mother filled in for you? I do because I am the first-born in my family. My mom says she is sorry to my younger siblings that the books are a little scattered and sometimes blank. When my babies were born I knew I was the type to fill out the first few pages but then forget the rest so I looked for alternatives to the traditional baby memory book.

I had no idea there were so many great ideas. I love creative mom entrepreneurs. They help make our lives as moms so much easier. One of my dreams in life is to come up with a great new baby product…I have a million ideas.

Bottle Feeding: Am I Feeding My Baby Too Much or Too Little?

by Carolyn 32 Comments

I remember the day that I finally had to give my 4 day old twins a bottle. The memory that is most vivid is the feeling of being completely confused because I wasn’t given any information on how many ounces a newborn needs during bottle feeding. How was I supposed to know? To make it even more daunting, I realized that I was supposed to learn how to interpret tiny signals or gestures my babies were sending to me.

Should I Feed My Baby Cereal? What The Experts Say Today.

by Carolyn 32 Comments

The rules for babies change so quickly. When my oldest were babies there was no doubt about should I feed my baby cereal. I automatically bought the box of rice cereal when they were 4 months old with no question in my mind.

Now the rules have changed. The experts now say that we don’t need to automatically start with the iron fortified cereals. That, in fact, starting with real food is showing a lot of benefits in the long-term of our children’s diets and the foundation of their eating habits.

9 Most Inspirational & Organized Changing Tables To Make Bringing Home Baby So Sweet

by Carolyn 33 Comments

Having the diaper station all organized and ready is one of the final steps to preparing the nursery for a new baby. All the diapers lined up and little sleepers ready to keep your little one all comfortable and sweet.

Your diaper changing station is command central for all your baby essentials. It not only has to be pretty but needs to be functional too. Pretty quickly you find out that keeping the diapers in a drawer just doesn’t work when you have a diaper blow out or a little boy who has decided the cool air when opening his diaper has made him need to “go” now. Everything needs to be accessed with one hand.
