Panic! The pacifier just fell on the gross floor and it is our only one!
Haven’t we all been in this same situation? Well, lucky for us there are now 5 different ways to sterilize a pacifier without boiling water. I had thought there were only 2, boil and microwave. I recently learned about some new products that are fantastic for when you are on-the-go and I just had to share them with you.
How to Sterilize Pacifiers Without Boiling Water
UV Light Sterilizer – Throw this in your diaper bag and you will have no worries if your little one drops their pacifier on the ground. Just pop it into the UV sterilizer and in a few minutes it is germ free.
Sterilizing Tablets – Use cold water and these tablets sanitize any baby item or even your own water bottles. The tablets are also great on the most difficult laundry stains. I love an item that has multiple uses. Keep some in your diaper bag and you can clean almost anything. I always read through Amazon reviews and they are glowing.
Sterilizing Bags – In the olden days (8 years ago, ahem) we thought it was amazing when the sterilizing bags became available. The bags were the main way I sterilized all the pacifiers and nipples in my house. You just put all of your items in the bag and pour a little water in the bottom and microwave it for a couple of minutes. It was so much faster than waiting for a pot of water to boil. You do need access to a microwave.
Dishwasher Basket– On a daily basis the dishwasher can’t be beat. I keep this dishwasher basket in our dishwasher and just throw in all sorts of items from pacifiers, bottle parts and small toys that need to be sanitized.
All Natural Pacifier/Nipple Wipes – Can’t get any easier than this! Keep a pack of pacifier wipes in your bag.
I love new inventions that make things easier for the new mom. Maybe this is why I am obsessed with Shark Tank. Anyone else love that show? I especially love to see the women that come on the show with products that solve a problem they had as new parents. I wish I was that inventive. Do you have an idea for a products that would save tons of time?

This is always so good to remember because those pacifiers just breeeeeed the germs. I can’t wait until my 18 month old is over going to sleep with one. My older child could’ve cared less about a pacifier but he is addicted.
