When parent-teacher conference time rolls around, that appointment can feel either intimidating or unnecessary at times for parents.
I started wondering what it is like to sit on the other side of the table. So I asked a veteran teacher what her perspective on parent-teacher conferences was. Her answers surprised (enlightened/encouraged me, and I think they will “surprise” you.
Here are her reflections.

You start searching Pinterest and find picture-perfect birthday parties that eventually end up costing an arm and a leg. Oh, the joys of teething and trying teething remedies. At such a young age, our poor little babies are not easily able to communicate their woes.

When my children were teething, the distress and pain they experienced broke my heart. As adults, we likely do not remember the struggles of this stage of growth as babies. The main cause of our child’s distress can be difficult to identify and can often be frustrating not only for our child, but for us as concerned – and exhausted – parents.
The Konmari Method has been viewed as the be all end all way of organizing and decluttering your home for a few years now. This method focuses on identifying the areas of your home that spark joy and organizing by category.
If you struggle with keeping more than you need, or you don’t have the time to actually put everything you own in piles by category, then the Konmari method likely won’t work well for you.
Here is how I finally let go of clutter without using the Konmari Method.
There are so many great nicknames for brothers and nicknames for sisters out there. Some of them can be creative and silly and others can be derived from their common name. Many brothers and sisters develop nicknames for each other, names they use as terms of endearment to speak to each other.
The bond between siblings can be an amazing one. Not only is it strong and honest, having a sibling can be like having a best friend that you live with. While there may be a little bit of sibling rivalry here and there, the true bond brothers and sisters share never waivers.
