How are your resolutions going? When I make resolutions my real plan is for them to end up being habits. I don’t want to start exercising for a few weeks and then stop. Or incorporate meditation in my life and then forget.

I want to build my resolutions into habits so it is a natural fit in my normal life.
My resolutions this year were the following:
- Get dressed out of my pjs before starting to work. (I work from home so this is hard.)
- Write in a Gratitude journal each night before bed.
- Take a multi-vitamin and add natural vitamins to my diet aka vegetables.
Let’s discuss the getting dressed instead of staying in my pajama pants when working from home. Yes, its comfy and great to work from home. But I have gotten into a bad habit of staying in my pj pants for way too long. I feel like it is even affecting my motivation. I used to get dressed in either athletic gear so I could easily exercise or regular clothes to run errands when I got a break.
Now I find myself avoiding exercise and errands. I know there is an easy fix…just get dressed for the day before sitting down at the computer. Here are some steps I’m taking to make my resolution to get dressed into a habit.
3 Steps to Make a Resolution a Habit
1.Habit Tracker – Whether you use a phone, planner or printable you can find on Pinterest. Seeing the daily tracker and checking it off is a great motivator for me.
2. Friend – Find someone that also has a goal and hold each other accountable. Have a daily text to each other to check in to make sure you completed your resolution.
3. Reward – This is how I’ve motivated myself. I have told myself that I can’t scroll Instagram until I get dressed for the day. Yep…that’s how much my Instagram scroll means to me. Ha.
My resolution of taking a daily multi-vitamin is so much easier now that I’ve found vitafusion multivitamins. Taking away the extra step of needing a glass of water makes it easier to remember to take every day. The vitafusion brand is the #1 gummy vitamin brand and is the only one that has “clinically proven absorption”*. I love that they have a separate Men’s and Women’s product and it definitely has Award Winning Taste**.
What kid doesn’t love gummies? We have had L’il Critters Gummy Vitamins in our home for several years. Kids can get a complete multivitamin in the L’il Critters Gummy Vitamins. These gummies have no artificial flavors or sweeteners, no high fructose corn syrup, no synthetic dyes and no gluten or dairy. Only the good stuff in these vitamins with “doctor tested proven nutrient absorption”*
*For Vitamins C & D3 in products that contain those nutrients
** The ChefsBest Excellence Award is awarded to brands that surpass a quality standard established by independent professional chefs.
One of the reasons I feel our family needs a daily vitamin is because we are not the best at including vegetables with our meals. I’ve always had to be the sneaky mom to try and hide the vegetables in our food.
Luckily there are some new delicious ways to get everyone in the family to try some vegetables.
Green Giant Veggie Hash Browns and Green Giant Cauliflower Gnocchi are a delicious way to get one full serving of Cauliflower. These are free of artificial colors, flavors or preservatives. I love the crunch of the hash browns and my kids are big fans of the gnocchi. You can find these are Walmart.
My daughter is a super picky eater. She was seriously down to only eating 5 items of food.
Luckily she recently decided she likes smoothies. Remember, I’m a sneaky mom. So I definitely put Gold Standard Whey protein in her smoothies. It is gluten free and has 24g of protein, 120 calories and 2 g or less of sugar for the win!
