A few months ago, I upgraded my little girls room from toddler bed to regular bed. The colors had to be just so, I was being very picky. I scoured the internet and stores for just the right bedding. My list grew of favorite girl comforters under $70 and wanted to share them with you.
That is my go to word when I mess up. Hey, it could be worse right! 😉
I can’t tell you how many shirts I have thrown away because I accidentally left a sticker on their shirt and washed it. Why do schools and camps have to use stickers to remind us parents of spirit nights. I have forgotten name tags too.
My favorite clothes for my daughter are the ones that I have had personalized. This means that no one is going to have the exact same dress as her plus there is nothing like having personalized clothes for your little girl.
Here in the south we love monograms. There is nothing like a monogram to make clothing look expensive. For years, I have always kept my eye out for inexpensive clothes that would look good with a monogram.
The places I look for these clothes are Walmart, Old Navy and Target. If you keep your eye out you can find shirts and dresses that just take a little dressing up to look boutique.
Here are two dresses I purchased last week at Walmart and took to my friend that monograms.
Can you believe these were $4.97? I think they now look much more expensive.
Usually you can find someone that does embroidery out of their home if you ask friends or local Facebook groups. I find they are a little less expensive than a retail store and they actually have more options in fabrics and colors. Plus, I always need a little help with creativity. I ask her for ideas of good colors and fonts and this time I just said “Surprise Me”.
I can’t wait for summer to break these out. Because they are so inexpensive, I let her wear them just as an everyday dress and we will, for sure, get our moneys worth out of them.
So keep your eye out at the big box stores and dress up your finds.

Sometimes you just have to treat yourself, right? I try to get pedicures occasionally and they feel like I am splurging on myself, a little indulgent. Well, here is how I treated myself again.
My latest feel good purchase is new pajamas. I purchased one pair of these pajamas 2 years ago from Target and love them. I wore them all the time and hated when they were in the wash. I would then wear one of my husbands old t-shirts to bed.
The fabric is the perfect weight. A very light flannel. This makes them super soft but not too hot. I like to sleep under lots of covers so I don’t want pajamas that are too heavy. The pants were a little bit long but I fixed that by washing them and putting them in the dryer on hot. I didn’t do that with the top, I hung that to dry because I like the size of the top. Now they are both the perfect fit. I like them baggy.
When I went to buy another pair I couldn’t find them in Target. Just last year I figured out that they only come out once a year, right before Christmas. I could never find another pair that felt the same. So I had to wait until close to Christmas. I ended up buying a set for myself and 2 more as Christmas gifts.
My little girl wanted in the picture.
These are now such a steal at under $25.
I promise you will want to order more. It feels so indulgent to wear my new pajamas. I am especially happy to have a new pair for my girls trip coming up. My poor friends have seen my one good pair of pajamas 4 years in a row. Now I can act like I am just so fashionable in my evening wear. Ha!
